I will offer you continuous support as you prepare for birth and early parenthood. Someone to reach out to, to be reassured by and with whom you have built a close and trusting relationship throughout your pregnancy.
We start by having a quick chat online or meet for a cuppa locally to make sure we’re a good fit. After that we can plan out how I can provide care throughout your pregnancy.
To give you an idea, we’ll arrange some antenatal sessions which are an opportunity to talk through your birth preferences, plan for different scenarios, make a postnatal plan and discuss the things that are really important to you. However, these sessions are primarily an opportunity to get to know one another, and if relevant, your partner and other children. Birth is an intimate and transformative experience, so let’s build a relationship of deep trust and connection.You’ll have access to me by phone or text in work hours throughout your pregnancy. I’ll go on call for your birth from 37 weeks until your baby is born. I’ll provide emotional support and advocacy during your labour and birth and depending on what you need we’ll have 2 or 3 postnatal sessions.

DOULA IN MY POCKET

This is a great option if you want to work with me but aren’t geographically close enough, or if you are looking for a less hands on and more affordable option. As a, “Doula in your pocket”, I give you virtual support and signposting on your journey throughout pregnancy. I can provide comfort, evidence-based information and support to you and your partner.Just the same as my in person doula services I like to make sure we’re a good fit, so we would start with a 30 minute connection call where we work out exactly how I can be with you through this beautiful transition.
We can have phone or text contact in working hours throughout your pregnancy. I’ll be on call to be at the end of the phone from 37 weeks until the birth of your baby, and will be at the end if the phone for the first 2 weeks of your postnatal period as well.
